I like that poll that was posted before......And am curious if I am moving in the direction of more professional looking sites.

"Professional" is hard to define. I'm a "professional", but my level of design is below that of colleagues I've worked with. It's basically only "ok".

But from a "professional" critique POV, here's my horrifically homest opinion:
It looks good, but some details strike me.
• drop shadows on the main titles and some other areas could be more subtle, they look a little too "effecty", whereas the cleanest designs generally (IMHO) avoid "effects".
• Aside from that, I really have no particular comments, other than my old work phrase of "I don't think it's quite there yet, something else needs to be done". You'll do better designs in the future, and that's part of the process. This design is probably better than your last one, and so on. And since I'm not a great designer, I can't tell you what need to be done.

Bear in mind that I'm treating this critique as if you were my old boss, with about seven pro years of graphic design behind him (inc Loreal and Harley D). So is that useful or just depressing???? Don't forget, I'm judging you against high high standards!!!!

I've been to your site before.....

nice work...... the site has changed....

Professional site.... is all subjective..... depending on the target audience... and the message you're trying to convey....

And of course.... those who have not seen you site... really have no baseline for comparison......

My most current project is a site I inherited..... with 2 year old information..... my job was to

1. make the information current
2. incorporate the new logo
3. make the information easier to find.....
4. incorporate new information in the current format

Just these 4 things will in it self take it from a cow-web
collector.... to a professional image of the business.....

I think you have done a good job...... with the site.... but as the web changes... and technology changes... if you're not up to learning the new..... you might as well..... close up shop....

it looks like the opposite is the case here..... you taken basic skills.... learned some skills..... and tansformed your site into a very nice .... easily navigated site.....

I can only image what the site will look like in another 6 months....

I like it!

When I asked the same question, I should've been a little clearer, even though it is kind of a vague question to be asking. Some sites, at first glance, appear to have been "professionally" done, they look like they were paid for. As opposed to an amateur looking site, where the designer simply just throws everything on, unorganized, no thought put into it, such as colour schemes, graphic effects, etc.

I liked your site design. Though my monitor is messed up and I can't see colours properly, I can get the jist of what is intended to show up, and your site is definitely well thought out. I like the heading, and the solid colored table background looks good on the page's background.

The only thing I would change on your site is the white and light blue text on the gray background. Aside from that, I think your site is great!

Like the graphics...nice borders and design. Nice tables and color schemes. Looks good in IE and Netscape.

There is some horizontal scrolling at 800x600.
Don't know why you have a Powweb button at the bottom.

Very well done.

Really good graphics. Graphics are the most important thing on a website, right in front of colors.

Thanks for all the great comments and suggestions.

As to your question BerksWebGuy about the Powweb link at the bottom. (which I know I forgot to link everyone of them.) Powweb Referrals...need I say more. From this link I have received credits from powweb for referrals. The more referrals I get the less I have to pay next year.
