I have a fan site for the tv show Bonanza called Bonanza World. It's my first and only website and I learned a lot along the way, coming from a background of absolutely no knowledge of website creation. There's lots of things I'd do differently now, so please take that into any review considerations.

My own analysis of my site's weaknesses...
- graphics are rudimentary (I only have very basic graphics software)

- colour is monotone/boring (again, if I had to do it over I would select something perkier...I've even been told that my colour scheme appears grey on some monitors, instead of the intended brown...however, since ALL my site pages are the same colour I can't change them ALL at this point). Overall, the page looks a little "flat" without more colour or sophisticated graphics

- I could be faulted for "stuffing" the page...got a lot of things going on there, which might be reflected in a slow download time

- I'm a champion cut-and-paster (not a scripter) so I don't know how standards compliant my pages are (I can guess though! :p)

I'm most proud of....
- integrating the homepage colours and layout with my discussion forums (vbulletin, just like here!)

- integrating my php calendar to show the On Today information from the calendar on my homepage and forums (thanks to Pig!)

- my photo gallery and using a random image from the gallery on my homepage

I'm open to hearing other reviews (hopefully offering the good with the bad! :p)...my site is here....

the site looks great! i wish my first website came out looking that good...

as another somewhat of a beginner web designer the only suggestion that i can make would be to change the <center> tags on the text on the main page to <justify> and adding a little margin in your tables so the text isn't right up against it. it should read a little easier after that.

unfortunately that's about all i can suggest with what i know, but good luck!

The website is really neat. I hope you have obtained permission to use images and audio from the copyright owners as indicated at the bottom of your web page. If it was by email, print that!

The color scheme appears in shades of brown, but there is extra space on both the left and right side in higher screen resolutions. But the page looks okay that way. The rope graphic is a cute touch. The forum follows the website color scheme. I really love that.

Paragraphs of text should be aligned to the left. Include the meta code to remove the image toolbar in Internet Explorer. It is annoying when that appears while pointing at an image.

<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no">

I don't know many people who wouldn't enjoy this website! My mom is a big fan of Michael Landon. Nice job! :)

I just showed the website to my husband. We played both versions of the theme song and my husband is the one who didn't remember the original with Lorne Greene singing it! He wanted to know if you have the song "Ringo". :D

He was wondering why someone would view video clips on your website when the shows are still being aired. Hey, you can view it when you want that way. We live on a farm with cows, pigs and a goat. But people sang Green Acres when we got married. I was never a city-slicker, but I did used to be a cosmetics manager.

It is amusing that someone from Canada created such a website instead of one of us farmers. Too bad we don't have photos of me sitting on our biggest steer while chasing a pig. Only my neighbor Tommy and my PHP programmer Nick saw that. Never turn your back on a hungry steer. Riding between the horns on his head was a new experience as he sneaked up and lifted me into the air for a while. He was just playing. I was watching the two steer and the pig in front of me. I don't recall a Bonanza episode like that one! :D

Yeah, Bonanza wasn't too true to life in some cases....it was more of a cleaned up version of how things were, but to this city gal it's a nice fantasy! :p

Here are some photos of the cows from last year. I will try to get some new photos on the website if it ever stops raining! And the picture of 5 vultures sitting on the barn. One thing about the city, you don't have the smell or the texture of "land mines" aka animal poop! :D

Those are nice clear shots Yvette! Only land mines we gotta watch for in the city is the doggie kind! :p

We got the doggie kind at the park since the visitors don't clean up like they should. The goat makes little pellets but the cow pies are just... well, they are in a fenced area anyway. And the pigs are usually in their pen.

Glad you liked the pics. I will post more soon. We STILL have rain.
