View Full Version : Weird... Hosting account setup

I've set up several hosting accounts with Powweb in the past.

Recently, I set up drunkencodepoets.com.

I just logged in via FTP today to find that there was nothing there, no htdocs directory, nothing. I just wanted to alert the admins to this as there may be something wrong with a configuration script...?

I added an htdocs directory and I am now able to list the contents of that directory so I don't believe that there are any errors with my actual package.

This was the first domain name I have actually registered through Powweb -- maybe this was the cause of the error?

I just dropped a temp default doc in the htdocs directory I created and it shows up fine

http://www.drunkencodepoets.com

There are no logs directories or anything though -- unsure of what I should do :]

There is only 1 answer.

Contact support@powweb.com or try using chat.powweb.com

Yeah, I figured. Was just wondering if anyone else had experienced similar issues and what the solution was.

make a logs & cgi-bin ( as well as the htdocs you made). Make sure they are chmod to 755 and it should be well :) Occassionally the automated setup has a little glitch and doesn't make the folders.

I saw a few posts with problem like that.
Either the process of new account setup is not automated,
or there is(was) a bug in it, I guess.

yeah, thats what I figured -- I just wanted to alert the admins but, if its already been brought up, I suppose there is no need :]
