FTP Keeps timing out!

I'm trying to upload some files, and my FTP keeps timing out on me. FTP server is ftp04.powweb.com. Also my website is running a little slow... www11.powweb.com. Anyone know when it will be fixed?

Yup...same problem here. You can try configuring your FTP to passive mode to see if that helps any.

maybe you want to try using webftp.powweb.com

There is a 5 min time limit that i think is kinda stupid but any way can any one tell me "why" the ftp access is so dam slow ?, it takes 5 min just to access a sublevel dir and to delete and rename a file is a killer...

Isn't it supposed to time out....after 5 minutes or so?

Here on powweb it set for a 5 min time out but on my other sites(not powweb) there is no time out..

I'm not talking about that... I mean it's timing out in the middle of a file upload. And it's really quite aggrivating. lol

Are you using internet explorer to FTP?
It will time out use Cute ftp or ipswitch you will no longer have that problem

No. I'm using SmartFTP. And also I did try the webftp, that didn't work either
