First let me admit I am an amatuer here.

We had orginoly been using Php2 to run our msg boards. Once we got around half a million posts archived we started having database errors but we noticed a certain table was failing constantly.

So thinking it was just PHP2's fault we went out and purchased VBbulletin. Now again about 500k posts and database starts crashing again.

Replace back ups and still crashes.

SO now im guessing this is simply to much info for our database on Powweb
(on space.powweb)

A mysql table can hold millions of records (though it's not always optimal). With the the situation you are describing, you could just have too much activity. Regular maintenance is a fact of life. When you get this errors, have you tried repairing the errors?

You can set up a script to repair your tables every night. That alone might take care of your problems.

I suppose, Im just going to restore old database for now. I put everything off after switched from remote access to scripts/phpadmin.

I suppose ill have to go find that restore script in the read first and go from there.

When setting up script does it matter that my site is hosted on calisto and my Database is on space.powweb?
