Hey, what do you guys think of this site? It seems to look okay to my friends. It's not built on images this time. It has flash navigation with normal navigation on the bottom. It has a nice little logo at the top. Might not be able to read it good, but that can be fixed very easy. Text is very readable to me and my friends in the main part of the site. So far only one page is done. I'll get the rest done once I know the sites good enough for my church youth group :)
It might help if we had a link... :)

lol doh!
I was busy typing that stuff and forgot to post it :P
Sorry, here it is: http://xero-infinity.com/church/youth/
stupid me :P
I like the layout, but the red gives it a kind of hostile look... not exactly the feeling you want for a youth group, I would imagine... Just my opinion, but red is supposed to be a strong color, whereas green is secure and blue is peaceful. See here: http://www.angelfire.com/ar/rogerart/color7.html for more information. Also, none of the links go anywhere. ;)
Nice design though!

Sorry Xero, but your colour scheme is awful.
Cheers,
Mirzabah.
Well, gray is a harmless color, and everyone uses black.. so I kinda narrowed the problem down to the red. But the fact remains, the colors don't really work for your topic.

i echo everyone else's comments @ the red. red is kinda a strong color, and in a church or christian environment, it almost infers blood, death, cults, etc.
the gray is not bad, but, if you want to make your church site not appear as "conservative," perhaps you might want to try a cerulean and silver or perhaps a royal blue?

It's good, but the red reminded me of satan. However, I voted the best result though.

I like the red. I'll leave whether it's suitable or not up to you. I
don't however, feel that it matches the grey. It would look sweeeet on black!!!
Font is coming up as times. Not too mad on that.
here's a suggestion. if you were to set your tables widths to a percentage, you could have the page fit you users screen a bit better. You could also set the taop table (with logo) to have a red bg, then alaign the cropped loge images over to the right. This would allow it to auto-scale and reduce your image size. I'll admit now that I have a fetish for percenting tables.....the choice is yours.
Here's an example where the line at the top lengthens and shortens to fir the browser window size.

I changed it to blue with white text. Also I changed the background from a darker gray to a lighter gray.
Well it certainly jumps out, in my opinion a little too bright still, and hard on the eyes. But blue is an improvement. :)

Looks good to me. I think that the poll doesn't really reflect how good it looks. I like it! People are harsh! Tough crowd. Hehe

You might try a lighter gray like what I've used for the background at the U.P.S. site.
