Hey I recently had A website That I setup Hosting only, on POWWEB.(I didn't Do the actual WebSite Design) and The Site Was Removed, Accounts Delete and Replaced with the "Under Constructions" and NO FTP Accounts....

POWWEB Says they Can Do A restore From Backup but, It will be a charge $100. hum... Can't Afford that one..

Now, I've setup About (10) sites So Far And Have plans For a lot More...

Any suggestion on How I can have the Sites Backed up, (automatically Would be Great). To Have to Manually Login and ftp each Account don't Seem practable for someone with a lot of accounts... And eventhough Powweb Seemed to have Accidently Deleted the Account, Paying to have it Restored is Out.

Any Suggestion on how to handle this one. (Think About if you had 50 different Sites)

HELP!!!

A php script can tarball all files and then even email it to you...although that might be a large file depending on the content.

Will A PHP Script be able to Setup The FTP logons, Account Names and Passwords (Which Would be Different For Each Account) To Backup/ftp All THe Accounts. I figure a lot of these sites will Have Photos and may easily be over 50/100mb so Emial would be out

Thanks

No. I don't believe there's any way to backup that information.

I was referring to the files within the package webspace.

Missunderstanding,
I didn't mean backup accounts and OPS stuff, I meant Can the/a Script be setup to Ftp to One Account Back it up, Then Ftp to another Account And Back it Up... Automatically
Thanks

Oh. Cron can execute scripts are certain intervals, so yes. But the script won't actually FTP anywhere - it would just copy whatever directories you specifiy within the same webspace.

That won't relly help, leaves one in the Same predicament as it IS now. I would need to Get Regular Backups Sent to My Own PC/Server..
I wonder IF FTP have the way to run Scripts... Which Seems to be kinda Dangerous Also..

Hey,
Thanks For All THe Help
I think I figured It OUT
WSFTP Have a Scheduler in it and you Should Already Have each Account Setup so It Would Automatically Loging, Ftp Back And logoff. So I think I can Go In A Do a weekly Backup as Long As It Don't Deminish The alloted Bandwith per Day/Month

Thanks
I'm Going to Play With a few test Backups And See What Happens
