cannot setup ftp account!

I am trying to setup an ftp account but when ever i try to login to that ftp account it doesnt give me whats in that folder. i can upload but it does not appear anywhere on my files PLEASE HELP :confused:

Hmmm.. if you are uploading it must be going somewhere. What FTP client are you using and what is the URL in question eg: yourdomain.com/folder you can PM me if you feel the info is private.

i try uploading using the username but it no appers in any folder on the master ftp account. i use the windows explorer ftp. this might be the problem. thanks for helping me :)

Did you create a new FTP user and now when you upload using that new username and then check with the master FTP user, the files are not where you thought???

If that is the case, you may have missed a step when you created the new FTP user. The path for the new user (in OPS) needs to point to /www/u/username/htdocs/newfolder If you did not add the "htdocs" to the path, then the folder would have been created outside of your htdocs.

Log in using your master FTP user account and look at the same level as your htdocs and cgi-bin folders, see if you have a "stealth" folder located there.

damnit now a new problem has arisen, i cannot get on ftp03.powweb.com
is it down or something?
EDIT: never mind it was just annother misspelling of the server (i just a bit jumpy today :()
