 Maybe a silly question but... is there any way to use the Powweb server for Web Casting? Well, the so called localhost IP 127.0.0.1 seems to be too much public for my taste :o Any webcasting guru out there to give me some clues?

Your site visitors wouldn't be able to connect to 127.0.0.1 anyway...clicking on a localhost url wil only try to connect your visitor to their own computer.

If by "web cast" you mean some kind of streaming presentation like ShoutCast, you can't run that from your site here. Any kind of pseudo-streaming you set up will likely run you into bandwidth limits if your site is at all well known. And things like BitTorrent seeders, trackers and .torrent files are not allowed.

Yep, Web Casting (Web Broadcasting) it's the nice name for the popular one ShoutCast :) . For "shoutcasting" you need lots of bandwidth. If you have a music source, a plug-in and the ShoutCast DNAS you're on the right track... And now it comes up my initial question: an IP is required as a source of those lots of bandwidth. Powweb could be a solution as I have lots of spare BW !!!!! The advantage would be the "private" IP.

The advantage would be the "private" IP.Poweb does not provide customers with individual IP addresses. They are shared. A unique subdomain name would do the same thing.
