My website's domain is through register.com. I recently switched from Yahoo to Powweb a couple of days ago, and I changed the DNS servers on Register.com. It says it takes 24-72 hours for the change, but it's almost 72 hours now. My site still says "Cannot be Found". I was wondering if it may have something to do with Powweb. Is there anyway I can find out? I already have everything from my site uploaded onto my Powweb account via FTP. My website address is www.greendayauthority.com

Works fine for me.
Shows it's being hosted on the andromeda server.
I would be careful about the copyright issues though. Powweb isn't flexible on that. You'll find your site closed down. Make sure you own the copyright on any and all material posted.

There are several ways to find out however you will need to telnet to your machine first. Once logged int try these commands:
dig yourdomain.com@ns.powsnameservers.com
Where yourdomain.com is your domain name and ns.powsnameservers.com is powweb's nameservers. This will give you a variety of information regarding youir domain. This will ensure that your host is doing their job. Next try using a different nameserver or two in the command above. If you see differences then there is an issue somewhere. Next try a
whois yourdomain.com
at the command line. This will tellyou if your registrars changes have become effective and tell you alot about your personal information they anyone in the world has access to.
Good luck.

Sorry TELNET is NOT supported on Powweb.
Any dig commands must be run on your home/office system.
You can do a search on google.com for 'dig DNS' and you should find a variety of links for web based interfaces that will do the same as a telnet account. That is very funny, I had thought that all unix webhosts provided basic telnet/ssh access?.
PowWeb doesn't provide Telnet or SSH. Try this site for dig:

Hope this helps!
