Can't Setup Gallery for Photos

From within site mamanger, I have tried to install Gallery so I can post my pictures of various events for potiential paying customers to view online. The window that opens says "PRE-INSTALLATION COMPLETE" but not open completely or let me scroll down to view or select any of the choices below. I have gone out directly to the Gallery website but find it difficult to navigate. Any suggestions?

The Gallery install from within the site manager does not create some of the needed files/folders.

You need to create a temp folder within the mygallery folder as well as a blank config.php and .htaccess file.

The temp folder needs to be Chmod to 755 and the config.php needs to be Chmod to 666.

After you get it all setup and running, you need to go back and Chmod the config.php file to 600

You can download the newest version of Gallery from the Gallery website, it has very complete documentation once you've unzipped Gallery to your computer.

Downloaded the zip file from Gallery and unzipped it but do not see any "install" or "setup" file.....there is a setup folder but nothing that will install the program......glad to know PowWeb has the 30 day money back policy as this whole new website experience has been anything but "fun"

There is no install or setup for most Web site applications, most are just a bunch of files that you have to upload and configure to work with the server they are installed on. Even using something "easy" like the Gallery install through the site manager, means that you still have to do some configuration and customization work to make it something that reflects what you want/like.

You have a world full of very knowledgable people here on this forum to offer their help if you really want to have your own web site up and running. :)
