I have searched as best I can, and could not find where this specific problem has been addressed.

I just tried to backup my webboard, and got this Internal Server Error message:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@thegolfconn.com and inform them of the time the error occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

From the Error Log
[Thu Jan 6 00:27:10 2005] [error] [client 67.121.224.1] Premature end of script headers: /powweb/web/cgi-bin/php4

I went to my OPS, and saw several SQL backups. Downloaded the latest to my HD. When I extracted the file, it was a .dmp file.
Was hoping someone would answer this question: "If I wanted to restore my webboard, would I use this .dmp file?"

Not so sure. Still getting the same internal server error message this morning.

Still getting the Internal Server Error when I try to backup the 4.39mb database from the CP in my webboard.
(and I don't have a clue as to how to do a backup using my phpMyAdmin)
Yes, I know about the backups available in my OPS.

... and if so, how?
Can anyone answer this part?

If I remember right the backup .DMP files are just a bunch of SQL statements. This file can be used to restore your database using Halfabee's script.
