I have two sites currently running with powweb, but I've been noticing that my site from ftp04 has been incredibly slow lately, sometimes not coming up at all. My site at ftp01 is really quick. What's the difference here?

1. Could the problem be that I use a web creation program for one(EZWeb) and frontpage for the other?

2. Also, I think I accidentally deleted the log folder from my ftp04 site . . . so could that be the problem? Can I just copy the log folder from my other site, or just create that folder? What does it do?

www.f1simlinks.net ftp01.powweb.com (Frontpage)
www.northwestvp.com ftp04.powweb.com (EZWeb)

Right now my northwestvp site doesn't even come up. :(

There can be many reasons why one site is slower than another, including the way they were designed, the type of content they contain, whether or not they are trying to access off site content (like news feeds, counters, web rings, etc) and I have seen some Front Page sites that do load slower than other similar sites due to a slow down with the extensions system.

Your logs folder can be recreated by you, just create a folder at the same level as your htdocs and cgi-bin, name it logs and make sure it is Chmod to 755

The ftp servers have nothing to do with the speed of your site, they are only for your FTP access, not the HTTP (browser) access. Your two sites are most likely on different load balancing clusters and right now they are having problems with one of those.

Both of your sites did load for me, the Sims site loaded quick while the other one was slow. But I believe the northwestvp.com is on the system that is currently having problems.

Ok. The thing is, it was fine a few days ago, but then has been on and off over the last few days, and now, I can't even load the site.

The problems better get fixed soon, or I'll have to change providers. I need to have people accessing my site for business, not just a hobby. Sorry.
