This is really starting to get out of hand now. Could we maybe get an announcement of some kind to let us know what is going on. It's all well and good saying that it's because of the firewall but is it going to be fixed? and how much more downtime can we expect?

Planned outages or service maintenance are posted ahead of time under the 'Annoucement' thread. The recent network outage due to the firewall was not a planned outage. Yes, the firewall problem was resolved and services are back online. Again, we do apologize for any inconvenience this outage may have caused.

One of my sites was on Mars. It was extreamly rare that my site ever went down. I would read about all the outage problems and thank my lucky stars that Mars was not plauged with problems.

Since the switch to "Magnatar" my site is down on a regular basis. Load balancing? I don't pretend to understand but what I do know is that my site has suffered from outages, being snail slow, etc. It has me wondering.........."when is a upgrade (to Magnatar) not an upgarde?" And the only answer I can come up with is "when the service is not as good."

I have no problem with the overall hosting but I don't want to be taken for granted either. I've been with Powweb from the beginning and it seems like newer hosting packages are placed on stable servers while us "old timers" are left to just wait and see.

All I want is decent up time. Even downtime of once a week at this point is ok. I'm just venting and don't expect an answer to my non question here.

Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net
Referral URL: http://domainhelp.tucows.com
Name Server: NS2.POWWEB.COM
Name Server: NS3.POWWEB.COM
Status: REGISTRAR-HOLD
Updated Date: 08-jan-2005
Creation Date: 07-jan-2004
Expiration Date: 07-jan-2005You should renew it in OPS on the Domain Registrations tab. While you're there, make sure your email address is correct on the Contacts tab. You should have gotten email notifications that the domain was expiring.

They would have been sent to a hotmail account. Maybe hotmail's junk filters caught it..

Can I get a few extra free days for all of the downtime I've had? :/ I can't pay right away but can in the next two.

I've had enough with the downtime. I'm cancelling my service.

I love the forum and the people though. I wish you and your sites all the best.
