I want my visitors to be redirected to another page to download real player if they do not have it installed. Does anyone know of a simple code to detect for this? I've tried several scripts found through searching google, but all of them gave me an error on the page and did not work. Thanks...

If they don't already have Real Player installed, maybe they don't want it, and by redirecting them to a download site to get Real Player, they won't bother ever coming back to your site. Ever think of that?

Just have a link to the Real Player download for them to use if they want to install it.

I guess thats a good way to look at it. I was actually going to have it redirect them after they clicked on the real file, not when they visited the site. But I think that is the best way, just to put a link for them to download. While were on the subject, do you think more people use real player or windows media player? I'm working on getting both options available but with so many files, it is a WHOLE lotta work.
Thnx...

I would guess that most have Media Player as the largest percent of users are on Windows computers, but many still prefer Real or QuickTime over MS Media. It's a good idea to offer more than one format when you can, other than that you go with what you like.
