Heya,

Me and a friend are starting our own alternative clothing ecommerce store. We have just finished the design, and we were hoping for some feedback on it.

http://www.gothware.net/gwc/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi

At the moment, there are no products on display, other than one test product. I think that all the information we need is up, but if it isnt, please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Kyle.

Is this the same gothware site we reviewed a few months ago or is this ANOTHER gothware site? This one must be different, because it is easier to read. The color scheme is attractive and appropriate.

I cannot find an About Us page. The privacy, payment and refund policies are there. I do not see prices in U.S. dollars and I don't know if you ship outside the U.K. The contact page has a form to request info from visitors AND the info to contact you.

The shopping cart is cgi. You created a cgi-bin directory inside gwc inside htdocs. The url is long and I was looking at this not just for security, but for seach engine listings. It is more difficult for search engines to list the long urls with many special characters in them.

I want to see the products! I had some sexy goth clothes that no longer fit after a few years, a few pregnancies and a few meals! ;) I had a sexy purple velvet top from Frederick's of Hollywood that made Don fall off the sofa! And the leather bodice with the shoelace tie was really hot when I was on top. :D I know, TMI.

Post again when you have products. Consider adding a links page to exchange links with sites that share your target audience. Most people think of links as a way to improve ranking on Google, but you can get traffic from sites where people click the links. Just pick sites where your link would be visible. A goth forum with a banner link would be helpful, and I know there are a few here.

Good luck! :)

Hey, this website has a real good design. Real good. I love the idea and the design. Good work!!! But long url is a bad thing, redirecting can get it fixed but search engine performance will be lowered...

Layout is very clean and color scheme is tight. Nicely done.
