Can someone tell me when the Pulsar server was replaced by the Jupiter server? I never got notification of this. Only when I tried to ftp to Pulsar, did I come running here looking for answers. (And yes, its been a while since I've had to ftp anything...LOL) . Checked my ftp in Ops and found out my server is now Jupiter instead of Pulsar .

I also checked the Announcements section and discovered that the MySql move happened. They said they sent out notices, but I never got one. This is really irritating when it was a business site that that particular thread is relevant to.

I have yet to receive ANY emails the CS team says they send out. And I make sure my email address is listed!

~Thanks

There was no e-mail sent out about this and only a couple of the legacy server merges were announced in the forum. I share your irritation about this, as the merges affected my sites as well.

If you haven't already, "subscribe" to the announcements section of the forum. You'll receive notice when new posts are added there (on a daily basis.) This would not have told you about the server consolidation, but would tell you about the clustering and FTP changes.

There was an announcement in the Outages section about the legacy server replacement/combining. It seems this thread is no longer available from the list of outages but I found it by going back to one of my subscribed threads. Here it is:

That announcement didn't tell what the resulting server name would be after combining though.
The default display in Outages is the last 6 days. If you change it to the last month or longer, the above thread is displayed.

For a week or so after the combining you could still FTP via your old server name, then it just quit working and you had to use your new one as listed in OPS. I do find it funny (funny-strange, not funny-haha) that they deemed it necessary to e-mail customers about the mysql move but not the server name changes...
