Nervously I put my website up for review. It is never easy to put yourself in the spotlight ya know. But, I feel the website has turned out quite lovely, and wish some reviews, and/or critiques/suggestions that I might not have thought of.
Well, here goes:

I encountered a littel technical error on the php, so that's probably worth having a look at. I'm mac IE5, and the screen grab below is overscanned to let you see the whole page.
Here's a screengrab of what I saw.... (http://www.carolineconnolly.com/junk/temp-web-page.gif)

Hi again.
I bear bad tidings once more!!! Apologies from the Mac community if these probs are platform specific.
There's another sceengrab below. although it looks like the main logo isn't there, if I drag my mouse over it I can see where it should be.
on the other hand, the page does look nice (I'm getting the idea). The only thing I can suggest is perhaps a different font to Times (but this is just a personal thing).
here's what I'm seeing now (http://www.carolineconnolly.com/junk/temp-web-page-2.gif)

Hmm...
Doesn't mac use IE? It should show up just fine.. which is odd... I'll play around with it.
Thanks!
Hi!
Your site looks good! I'm using IE6 on a PC, so I would imagine I'm viewing your pages exactly as you intended. Nice, clean design. I did get an error when clicking on your "spying" link under "policies".
Warning: Failed opening 'http://www.tempestmux.com//Tempest_News_Files/policies/Spying.txt' for inclusion (include_path='') in /www/t/tempestmux/htdocs/policies.php on line 20
Didn't find any other problems, but I didn't have time to view your whole site. Sounds like an interesting game, though. Might end up checking back for my own entertainment. :)
Nice work!

Yeah. It's a Mac running Explorer. I had a look again, and it really does seem to be the top title (invisibility flipped somehow???) that's the only problem (and some very minor overlapping with the image of the church).
On the other hand, your mouse-over menus are actually the best pop out menus I've seen on the web. Most pop out menus are designed for the pc and SUCK when you use them on a Mac. I think it's a java pop-out menu thing versus a visibility based pop-out menu thing. Anyway, yours are PERFECT!!!!!

Hey Raven,
For some reason your date seems to have gone vertical.
 My date? I'm not sure what you mean.

is
S

d
a

And so on over the menu is what I get.
Are you sure you're addressing me? Or TempestAdmin? Because, if you are meaning me, you completely lost me. :p

I'm sorry it is TempestAdmin. Do you see what I see about the date? Or am I crazy?
Figured that to be the case. However, I'm not seeing any vertical dates on her site. What menu is it your looking at?

Menu top left you can't see the date and time tracking over the menu?
Freaky! It's not doing that for me. I see today's date and time, but it is sitting neatly along the horizontal line above the left menu. I wonder why we would be seeing it differently? Vertical lettering doesn't usually happen by accident.
The Date looks fine to me.
However I do see the image overlap at the bottom right. The church pic is overlaping the news box by about an inch or so.
I am viewing it with IE 6.0

It's hard to design a website for a version of browser that you don't have access to. I'm gona have to bug my Mac friend to help me debug the Mac version.
Vertical date? Hrms... Should not be any vertical date? What browser are you using? It should be sitting neatly across the line...
By the way, thanks for all the responses on helping me debug. :) I still don't know why the title gif isn't showing.. that's just odd...........

Here is what I see IE5. Not good screenshot but do you see the date?
The date looks fine here in Win98, under IE6. However, the site is jacked up under Netscape 4.79 because of absolute positioning. If absolute positioning was removed, it should work under Netscape 4.7+

*sigh*
Why can't we just have one universal browser! :(
I'll look at it again, for Netscape 4.79 and IE 5.
And, here I was all excited....

Thanks!
I'm going to do a bit of somethin' different to accommodate for the older browsers, but all the feedback about the bugs were very useful. Thanks again!
