View Full Version : Removeing Files from File manager
How do I remove files that are in my www.domainname.com/+ sitemanager. Have files for 4 prior attempts to install oscommerce that I would like to delete.
thanks
Johanna
First go inside each folder and delete all of the files inside by clicking the "delete" link which should be near the center of the line. Once a folder is completely empty, there will be a link you can click to delete it as well. If you have folders inside of folders, you'll have to do the same thing for them first.
This would be sooo much easier if you used an ftp. If you don't have one set up, you can use an internet browser. I'm sure there's already a thread around here that explains it much better than I could. But basically you go to Ops, Packages, Website, FTP, set up a user. Then there's a box that tells you your Server Hostname. Paste that into a browser, click OK and then go to File > Login As, sign in with the FTP user name you just set up, and you should see all of your directories just like in site manager.
Thank you for your help I will try and do as u suggest- yes deleteing all the files would keep me busy for a long long time
