www.imosh.com we were suppose to have been moved to:
andromeda.

-- the trasfer was suppose to take half a day- 12 hours, but
our site is still down.

two days we have been down!

this is a bit much, we have a real site with real traffic, and we're down.

people are getting "page cannot be displayed" instead of our site.

will these people try our site again? we are losing money.

our site was being moved to a real server, its been awhile since the supposed move, and we're still down.

Last 3 nights been hard on Powweb. Poor Mars server. Any bets that it will go down for the fourth night in a row? I don't blame IMOSH, it's Powweb that should have the technology to get things fix fast! Just think about all the money being lost on businesses.

Your site is working from here via andromeda.powweb.com. Most likely your ISP has not updated the new DNS yet.

checked on 3 different isp's, our site doesn't load.

If you use a Windows operating system, try this and your page will come up for you, NOW.

Look in the /windows directory for a file called:

Hosts.sam

Open that file with a text editor like Notepad and enter the following line into that document after: 127.0.0.1 localhost

64.63.125.66 imosh.com www.imosh.com
-------------
It should look like this when you're finished:

127.0.0.1 localhost
64.63.125.66 imosh.com www.imosh.com

(there must be at least one space or tab between the IP address and the domain name in this file)

Save that file and then rename it: Hosts (without any .sam or .txt extention) This won't work if the file name isn't just "Hosts" without any extention.

After a few days you can rename that file back to host.sam and pull your site from your ISP's DNS after they have updated it.

I hope this helps.

I can see your site as well. Do you have the legal right to sell T-shirts with well known logos on them? If not, your site could be a major lawsuit waiting to happen.

still not loading for me, seems to be a whole production to get it to work, hopefully our customers can access it.

--- yes, our shirts and other items are official.

i cannot get imosh.com to come up, but i can get:

gesnerlegion.com & sataninside.com

gesner... is our main site, imosh & satan are pointers.

this is an isp problem? seems strange.

This is most likely a DNS caching issue. It should clear over the next few hours.

Rather than post it elsewhere and start another thread.

I have contacted Powweb support 4 times in the last 5 days due to our site going down every day for the last five days for approximatelky an hour to 4 hours ata time. I have a full log report of the downtimes. The wierd thing is I can access my FTP and MySQL, but no website is displayed.

http://www.mbdc.net

It is up now, but as of today it has been dow 2 times so far for about an hour each time. This is getting ridiculous.

Here is the response I got from Powweb support when I reported to them my site being down and the exact times it was reported down to me and the exact times it went back up.
From Powweb Support :

Mike,

http://mbdc.net/ comes up fine at this time.

I didn't post the persons name due to possible legal repricussions. I am however thurouhgly DISSAPOINTED with that response. That reminds me of some guy sitting behind a desk waiting for emails, checking the site, and making that type of response. Do these people even investigate any of this..I want that guy's Job.... :-)

FYI, Our site runs on the mars server.

What do I need to do to get our site moved to another Server??

Mike

-----EDIT-----
Just checked. and OUR SITE IS BACK DOWN AGAIN!!!! This is ridiculous !#$@%@$@

HA HA HA HA...UGH!

I just tried again..back down...I have submitted to Powweb and I have posted a few times in this Forum about this issue. Wonder if our billing will be pro-rated due to the down-time we are experiencing?

99.7% uptime?? hmmm.

Dang JJ, your site has been following the same pattern as ours. Last 4-5 nights/days, up and down all the time. It has gotten worse in the last couple days. You on MARS too??

This is the worst I have ever seen it. I lose $100 for every day I am not in business. My site has been mostly down since Wednesday.

This is definately bad. I know Star posted a remark in the announcements section saying the mars server was down for upgrades, but is that the reason mars server has had so much trouble over the last few days.

Dont know. My site came up for a few minutes, but not long enough for me to send an announcement to my customers. Sent 2 requests to customer service to find out what is going on. Still waiting for a response.

I wonder if that may be part of our problem. We run a PHP-Nuke MySQL website and it does attract a fair amount of visitors at times.
How did you get POWWEB to move your site?

notset4life
Same deal here. Site comes up for a few minutes, then back down...getting real old, real quick.

-----edit-----
notset4life, I finally got to see your site...Very nice job there bud.
Wonder how long it will be up this time ....snicker - snicker

From Powweb staff:
@ 06:15 PDT our master switch went off line. The fault was due to a blown controller card. The card was replaced and the switch is back online as of 10:30 PDT.

IMOSH.com, that was you?

IMOSH.com

the switch could be our fault, im looking into it.
