View Full Version : mySQL error: Lost connection to MySQL server during query
Hi
When loading my IPB forum in a browser, I get this error many times:
"mySQL error: Lost connection to MySQL server during query"
Why is this error coming? does it mean something faulty in powweb's mysql servers?
Is anyone else facing the same error?
and how to correct this issue?
I'm not a technical type, but I suspect that what is happening is that Powweb has become the victim of an attack by some not-very-nice people, and all of our web sites have suffered. I had the same thing happen for about ten minutes.
Try again in a while and see if the problem persists. My sites are working now.
The only analogy I can think of is that we're using public transit, and if the bus is a bit late perhaps it's not the bus company's fault - it may have been an accident or an unruly passenger. If I wanted to get there at a precise time, I could have hired a limousine, at ten times the cost.
lol, thanks scarter for the reply.
Yes, there was a DDos (denayal of service) attacks for the last 2 hours or so. My website is up now too.
But I'm experiencing the above mysql conection error for a week now. Its not persistant, but it happens now and then. I just wanted to know if its only me, or is it a problem others have noticed too.
I've contacted support, and hopefully they will let me know the reason for that lost connection error.
