Adding a hit counter (not using FrontPage)

I thought Pow Web provided a hit counter with their utilities. The only info on the FAQ's I found were associated with FrontPage. I'm not using FrontPage. Could someone help me with this issue please?

You will need to use a cgi or php script to do it.
www.cgi-resources.com has some scripts you can try.
