Well Kova, I think I could get a better feel for your site when you upload your content. So far it’s just a template or empty shell.
My first impression is that your colors and look on the home page are a bit boring. Never mind the lack of content. The blurred cityscape is really the only thing that mildly kept my interest for a moment. Add some color, more pictures, and a better graphic of Nsklive.net. The only color on the page is the blue border around the page. Throw out some eye candy for viewers and maybe they will click around a bit.

As you progress with this, think about what your site has to offer. What about your homepage is interesting? I don’t know you and from looking at your design and homepage I don’t feel any inclination to click and read a journal or even check out your photos.

I don’t mean to be harsh but it’s my honest opinion. Your site has tons of potential and I would love to see where you take it. I’ll click back soon.
As for photo gallery’s…. another powweb user offered me this link. You may find it helpful with your gallery

Hi there,

I think the header image "BLUR" hurts the eye, change the image and make it wider and higher. Also, several links on your site, are broken. (About Me, Misc, Photos). Consider jatticks comments as well.

Free PHP Photo Album (http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Image_Galleries/ )

Good luck!

Sorry to say that I hate the blurry header image and feel that you may have come looking for critiques a little too early if you are hoping for a user end opinion.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for technical help from some of the PowWeb community, it might be worth explaining what you hope/plan to achieve with this website since I, for one, certainly have no idea from roaming around in it!

What you have now is a start, of course much more needs to be added as time goes on, but I do like the clean interface. To me, the image at the top is not bad or harsh to my eyes...

See, I have a personal site too, and I ran into some of the same issues (http://www.LearnFamily.com). It does take some time to get all the content up and looking the way that you want it, but it also helps to have a clear vision of what you want...

As for photo gallery software, I will agree with the Gallery software, if you look at my site you will find that I have used it. I have also modified it so that it better fits into my site (wrapping my header and navigation around it) and I also found a nice random image script some place that works great...

Feel free to visit my site and if there is anything that I do that you would like to incorporate into your site, let me know and I will let you know what I used (if it is not some custome coding that I did)...

Good luck.. keep trying...

I like it. It works well as a personal site. If you plan on making a business site, or anything 'non-personal,' a layout like that wouldn't work. Anyways, there's nothing funky going on in source code. I suppose since it's a personal site, you can feel free to use whatever language you want

I love your design. Just that theres one thing that I notice more and more on sites every day. That being the main table width being in pixels and not percent. Not sure if you have that at 700ish or so pixel width but I suggest maybe making that in 90% to 100% in width, instead of using pixels. People that use larger resolutions like 1024x768 don't have to look at empty space then. Just an idea though. Cheers :D
