View Full Version : Canon Word Pro 7000 - converting to PC format?

My uncle had some disks made on a Canon Word Pro 7000, which is a completely standalone system with a screen and everything.
Except it died, and now he has all these disks. I've searched the net and tried Winconv so far, but no good. Tried Microsoft and Canon (who promised to call me back twice and haven't!)

I've googled myself silly for an answer - this really has my stumped. It doesn't matter if the bold and underline formatting is lost, but we'd like to preserve the text.

I can read the files from the floppy on a pc OK - they end in .000

Here's a couple of lines if the file is opened in notepad/word etc:

----------------------------
ÇEÁSRO stopnames 28 1 04 WPdC WP00
f
×f ë*Àè
û D P
----------------------------

etc.

I have no clue where to look for help on this, so here seems as good a place as any to start!! Any ideas? Thanks!
