Adding a password protect to a web page

I'm a newbie to doing PL scripts and got a free set to add password protection to a web page. I put the 2 scripts in my cgi-bin and set the pemissions as well as set all the parameters. Password checks work but I get the following error once they are entered incorrectly.

"The document contains no data.
Try again later or contact the adminstrator"

Where is the problem?

It looks like the script is running. How about posting the code and someone will have a look.
