something happen with the MySQL connection....

Hello all.
When i login my website, there appeared below the following:

"Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /www/xx/xxxxxxxx/htdocs/shop/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!"

What is the happened and what can i do??
