Wouldn't be surprised - there are plenty of other threads reporting slow sql servers!
Not one of those posting here has supplied the URL for their slow site and simply state it is the sql server. It could well be, but it could also be other issues such as the problem Comcast DNS Servers are having.
Well, I left a very in-depth issue of mysql issues.
Stated before:
I work on remote sites - T3's all the way down to ISDN, Bellsouth, AT&T, Sprint, Comcast, Earthlink, Covad and a whole slew of them. When I get a chance at a customers site, I view my site and even go through an admin panel. Lo and behold, the end result is the same - 30 seconds+ access time to Site is under contruction when it cannot access the sql database. Sometimes it refreshes / loads quickly, then goes back to it being slow.
This issue has been ongoing for two weeks. Someone suggested that we clean up our site code - something to that fact, I cannot recall at this time. Our code and our programs worked flawlessly. I even went through and rechecked my code. All is fine.
Right now, my site is unfinished due to the time to go from one page to another as an admin. My sql database is a generic basic structure. I have yet to upload my store files and database of 3000+ items / descriptions / options / etc. If I cannot get normal access with a basic sql structure, what am I to expect with a larger database?
I'm on sql02, too. You have to play the waiting game.
