I have a problem with phpmyadmin

Hi to all:
My forum is in arabic.
When I was using the old phpmyadmin everything is ok and I can brows the tables and I can see arabic fonts and I can edit them with arabic fonts easily.
But in the new phpmyadmin a I can't see the arabic fonts in the tables and I can edit them as they are weired fonts and characters even when i enter with arabic (ar-utf8)
or arabic (ar-win1256) it is all the same.
All the phpmyadmin pages will be arabic fonts but the title of the tables and inside them it is not in arabic fonts.

So I returned to use the old phpmyadmin as I can see arabic fonts in side the tables and I can edit them easily.
But before 3 days the old phpmyadmin is no longer in used as I thinked and the new one is the only one now is in used.

So how can I see arabic fonts in the title of the tables and in side the tables, I can't edit anything their?

Ok, after days of nighmares seems that all of you have no problems,Thank's God,
I assume you can help me now.
Please any help, I cannot edit any tables becuase they are not in arabic fonts.
How can I show arabic fonts inside the tables in the new phpmyadmin?

Powweb allows you to use your own installation of phpmyadmin. If you know what the older version that worked, you can download it & install it. You could also try the newest version available (stable = 2.6.2) powweb currently uses 2.6.1pl3.

I installed it a while ago before powweb had it available and it wasn't too bad to install. If you install in your own web space, you would want to make sure you hide it in a password protected folder.

If I download the phpmyadmin and put it in side my site, sould I transfer my database to it or only to brows my database in the powweb's server from the phpmyadmin that is inside my site.

There is no such thing as "transfering" a database to PMA. When you install the script, just config it to point at your existing database. PMA is not part of your database. It is just a door to it. You would just be installing another door.

ok I downloaded it and test it in my localhost, I transfered the files to root directory.
The problem now how I configure it, it has many variables.
I am not so expert in configuring the config.inc. It is defficult.

So why powweb do not install 2.6.2 without puting the charcet latin_swedish.
and all every encoding so as to edit my arabic tables easily as the old powweb phpmyadmin.

I configured the config.inc.php and I am running the phpmyadmin from my site, again the tables' fonts are not arabic.
The problem still not solved.
How can i configure my phpmyadmin so as to see the tables in arabic font?

Powweb staff and support:
I can not edit any thing in my database.
The tables' fonts are not arabic.
Please how can I read and write arabic in the tables?
It is urgent.

when I was using your old phpmyadmin everything is fine, but you deleted it.
is it deleted or still in use?

I posted my problem there and waiting.

strange, when i used my phpmyadmin 2.6.2 through my site the languages charset disppeared and your collation appeared, but when I used it through my localhost, no collation and all the supported languages are there.

So where is the problem, I do not think it is from phpmyadin, as the windows 1256 is their.
i think the problem is your mysql that is choose only utf-8.

I need to help me or you put back your old phpmyadmin, or do something to your mysql.

well i have a smiliar problem i have v 2.3.1 where there's no collation in the database structure the deafult now is latin1_swedish_ci :confused:
how can i delete the collation or at least change it to something that support Arabic!!!
