MySQL ERROR:
Error Number: 1016
Description: Can't open file: 'exp_security_hashes.MYI' (errno: 145)
Query: INSERT INTO exp_security_hashes (date, ip_address, hash) VALUES(UNIX_TIMESTAMP(), '61.98.194.134', 'c0e44ad72ad8e471ae59a4c1bd28cfd1b6f77440')
I am getting the above problem from this site: http://blinger.org and have started a new thread as directed in the following post (http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=49988).

Give this a try ... see if it clears the error
Login with https://phpmyadmin.powweb.com/
Then click on the DB name upper left ...
Then on the right below all the rows of tables click Select All ...
Then with the dropdown box select Repair Table ...
I had a simlier problem earlier today and my database is on mysql01 as well. Essentially one of my tables got corrupted. It was a vbulletin table though and vbulletin has a built in repair function which cleared it up.
I ran a command line repair for you and it worked. That URL now comes up fine .

It happened again and I followed the procedure detailed by alphadesk and it's working again. I just reporting this again so that people in the know realize that mysql01 is having recurring problems.
i'm not complaining, just reporting

I just reporting this again so that people in the know realize that mysql01 is having recurring problems. It's the same issue as reported in http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=49969
And, yes the error is still there although support replied that it was fixed.

Another one for the record, every 10 minutes I have to repair the table.. I sure hope this gets resolved soon. It's 1am here and I'm going to bed
I also have a vbulletin forum which I've had to repair 4 times now. My question is....would it be better to close my forum until this is resolved as it seems to be 'posting' that is corrupting the tables and I don't know if I'm just letting the problem get bigger by keeping the forum open to new posts. Any advice would be appreciated.
Prolly best to put it in Maintenance mode and then repair the tables and wait for sleepy to get with the program.
Jaysus
same problem here, tried repairing like 10 times now, problem is solved until something changes in the database: new member registering, new posts, new anythings

it seems to be 'posting' that is corrupting the tables
ditto that and related problems:
SQL Error : 1016 Can't open file: 'phpbb_posts.MYI' (errno: 145)
losing info left and right, phpMyAdmin repair temporary at best, daily backups of no help on current/recent postings, pesty :(
Can't get into phpMyAdmin to use the Repair function. I just get the #1016 error message.

I just woke up, and my site is still screwed. I repaired the table, but the repair only lasted about 2 minutes. I have had to take my site(s) down as I have three sites using the same CMS and consequently the same database.
When is this going to be fixed? I cannot believe there hasn't been an announcement about the ongoing problems....

I can't understand how the f*** PWs are thinking. The problem has been here for 24 hours, and still no f****ing note or update about it. Very bad...

I understand your anger, but really cursing is not going to help matters at all. Diplomacy is the key to getting things successfully resolved.
One of our admins believes he found the problem with the mysql configuration. Also mysql03 had a problem that was causing it to restart. This has been fixed. Please try repairing any corrupt tables you have once again and see if the problem continues. If it does, in order for us to trouble shoot these further please post all the following information: mysql server, mysql db, and a URL where we can see the problem.

also eagerly waiting for this to be fixed as both my galleries and forum are a mess or errors.
I have users wanting to upload pics for their nightclub gallery and they are moaning about error messges. I'd hate to lose a client over this.

It certainly does seem odd that nothing has been sent out as alerts.
I repaired your tables and the site is up now, I'll keep checking to see if it happens again.
just got this when I tried to post..
Error in posting

I don't mean to just heap meaningless criticism on powweb, and I know you guys are working on it, but this is ridiculous. If all I had were a website, I could maybe tolerate some downtime, but my forum is useless. I'm paying for this? Why is it that these things keep happening?
They have made one more change and your board has been up for a while now... hopefully this has fixed it. Please everyone repair your tables and try again.
James -
Did you (he/she/they) do anything? My forum has now been up for about 10 minutes, the longest yet, and then this, as I was trying to delete a test message. btw, it didn't crash the forum this time, it's still up and running (knock on wood).
Could not delete word list entry

I appear to be unable to log in to https://phpmyadmin.powweb.com/index.php to repair the tables. At first I thought that I had my password and/or username wrong but I'm looking right at the same paper I wrote it down on when I set up the DB. Can I get someone to mail me the info so I can be 100% certain?
You will have to log into OPS and reset your username/password inthe mysql tab. We don't know what your information is.

James,
regarding this thread (http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?p=292766#post292766). Here is my database info...
$conf['db_hostname'] = "mysql01.powweb.com";
$conf['db_username'] = "green";
$conf['db_name'] = "eslteacher";
I tried to pm you but it isn't allowed.. anyhow here is all my information except the password.
mysql07 We also have been having this problem the last 2 days.
Gets tiring having to repair the DB.
I'm on MYSQL07 too.
Interestingly, I was getting an "access denied" message. Now I get a "No activity since 1800 seconds or more, please login again" message. I even created a new DB user and still couldn't log in.
can you turn it on once more?
I've been monitoring http://www.yogwf.com/index.php since the last change and it seems pretty stable... but its the only URL I have to monitor... as far as I know any change that has been made in the last couple of days has been changed back...
I see its down again... could you try restoring a backup in case the data has been to corrupted for repair?

I am on mysql 9 at mesmovies.com
I can repair but then i get errror eventually.....nwo im trying what drew recommended
but when will this be fixed
My forum is now gone completely. A while ago I could get to the index but not the messages.
I can log in to OPS but still can't log in to myadmin. I downloaded the backups, but there's little I can do with them at the moment.
I think they fixed it on mysql01 I haven't had any tables corrupt in the past 30 mins and there's been a bunch of posts on my forums so normally it would of corrupted one by now.
I'm almost positive the problem is with a configuration change someone made in our my.cnf files.. so I restarted all the mysql servers with the conf I use for the server that hosts this forum. blinger.org seems to be stable now but I will watch it for a while...

hmm.. so any progress?
Are you still having problems? Did you repair your tables? Whats your database information?
As far as who made the changes, I'm not sure... the mysql maintaince we did was a network one, using mysql connections over our private network which is much quicker. It wasn't the conf but changes were made to that as well apparently. As soon as we find out whats wrong in the conf we will worry about who did it.

its database endvac on 09
Its running very slow now, but not corrupted. I have repaired over 20x today
also, for some reason, my portal keeps dissapearing now, untill I login into my forum admin panel and make any change for the front page, than it shows up.
*edit* its starting to act insanely slow again, just like before you guys fixed the speed issue..
Mine just did it about 7 or 8 minutes ago. Had to do the REPAID TABLE to fix it.

You need to repair your tables. I am running a global repair on all the mysql servers now so it should repair your tables if you do not know how, but there are a lot of tables so its taking a while... it should be done in a few hours on all servers.
Mine was working 15minutes before what I reported..
Anyways, it's working now..

I CAN'T repair my tables because I can't log in to do it.
I'm in OPS > Packages > mySQL. Click on http://phpmyadmin.powweb.com/, try to log in. No go.
Change password, use new password to log in. Nothing.
Create new user and new password. Try to log in as new user. Nada.
How am I supposed to do anything?
