It seems the max connections error and slowness has been fixed, however many people are now getting errors with tables being corrupted.
So, if you have a error like (mySQL error: Can't open file: 'xxx_inserttablehere' (errno: 145) Post your URL and the specifics of your issue.
Repairing the tables with phpmyadmin is a VERY temporary fix ( somtimes only lasting 10 seconds before corruption )
For those who want to try and repair there tables (despite the fact it wont help) do the following:
Login with https://phpmyadmin.powweb.com/
Then click on the DB name upper left
Then on the right below all the rows of tables click Select All
Then with the dropdown box select Repair Table
To the community:
POST YOUR URL, FORUM SOFTWARE AND ERROR MSG. This will be very helpfull to the mods for correcting the problem
To the mods:
DO NOT SUGGEST THIS PROBLEM IS BASED ON OUR FORUM SOFTWARE - IT IS A GLOBAL ISSUE FOR PEOPLE ON MYSQL09 -
PLEASE DO NOT MERGE THIS THREAD - THIS IS DISCUSSING NEW ISSUES WITH MYSQL09 THAT HAVE ARISEN FROM APRIL 15TH AND PAST

I have this sort of problem too. I have a forum and the error I get is:
mySQL error: Can't open file: 'ibf_posts.MYI' (errno: 145)
I did "Repair Table ibf_posts" and the problem got fixed. However, when I post again in my forums, the error pops up again.
My forums is http://aznx.icyhell.net and the software is Invision Power Board

Yea I'm getting the 145 error as well for about the last 5-6 hours- but on mysql02. Can repair the table, but any additions to the table cause another complete db failure.
Sent a ticket in- hope is resolved soon.
Add me to the list. I am seeing the same symptoms as everyone else. It's making a shambles of my forum on MySQL09 :(
EDIT:

How are you repairing the table via MyPHPAdmin? I would like to give it a shot.

I'm on mysql04 but this looks like being related. Here is the error I get on my forum, located at www.banlieusardises.com/voisins/ (but you have to add index2.php because I've placed a message for my users on the root of the forum):

Also, I can't even get to the MYSQL tab on PowWeb's OPS. Here's what I get:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@ops.powweb.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

What's interesting about this particular problem is that after doing a repair on one table of my forum database, it works fine for a while, then another table becomes corrupted. That coupled with the fact that everything worked just fine before the techs "fixed" the problem and it's not just PHPBB that's effected leads me to believe that the current problems are something that Powweb has done to the MySQL servers.
The question is, is anyone actually looking into this? We had to wait it out last weekend with no progress, then it took all week to "fix" that problem and create the current problems.

Its not just mysql09, I see threads of mysql01 and mysql05
not to mention my friends and I have sites using mysql04, but I think its about time the mods make a post saying anyone getting error 145 just to pipe-down and read the tons of other topics containing the same question with the same answers.

I am having the same exact problems as everyone else.
I am using Invision Power board 1.3x with a lot of mods and a portal wrapped around it using MySql 01 server.
Fix one table in phpMyAdmin and it, or another table corrupts when someone posts/reads a thread or reply.
I have checked, and IPB says it's not a problem with their software. Obviously if we are all having the same problem it's not software dependent.
Be patient, it's not easy administrating a hosting service like Powweb. Especially when they give us such flexibility and options.
But it does suck in the meantime.
---------
If you want to try and repair the tables yourself, although it will only help for a little while and doing it over and over the way some of us have, do the following:
> Log into OPS and click on your "package name"
> Click "mySQL" for that particular database, if you have more than one.
> Under "Database Connectivity" on the right you will see a link to phpmyadmin, that will take you to the phpmyadmin page for that MySQL server. You will need your database name, and password to enter.
> Click on your database name on the top left frame, this will open the database on the right frame. Check the box next to the table you need to repair. On the bottom of your table names you will see a drop down box that says "With Selected", open that and choose "Repair table". That will fix the problem TEMPORARILY.
It will drive you nuts doing that over and over and over the way I have, so I suggest you let your customers/viewers know you are working on the problem instead of staying in phpMyAdmin all day repairing tables over and over again.

This won't do any good for me, cause I can't even get into mine now, and can only assume my members are viewing the same message:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
Yes, I am seeing the problem where a table, shortly after being created, becomes corrupted - now on mysql10.
site seems to be running very good now...let's see if it stays that way....

omfg rofl.. Dude the people in powweb chat are BANNING you for singing songs now.
Apparently, you are not allowed to talk about anything except how marvelous powweb is.
They would rather be banning people and talking about having people working on problems then actually fixing them.. Check out this log, get a laugh as I am banned for reciting a line from the new CocaCola commercial..
I honestly can NOT believe they treat customers this way. This guy is especially unbelievable, and apparently 10 other people have requested me banned.. (and all to him also, so I guess thats more like 100 people want me gone considering there is 10 more staff members, and I am sure they have all receivied complaints about me..
(17:45:09) (+msxsecurity) put the lime in the coke you nut
(17:45:15) (@skunkboy) Powweb admins are aware of issues with SQL (as per the link when you entered the room). They have disabled many abusive sites and made mods to the servers but there are still issues that they are trying to track down. Weekend or not, the admins ARE working on it.

still no progress. Go powweb!
Whats funny is this is going to be 2 weeks downtime soon, I wonder how they calculate 99.9% uptime.
It must be how long THERE webpage is up.
I noticed that powweb was able to receive new orders without a problem even during this mess.

Yes, exactly -- I can't imagine my site's been up for 99% of the last fortnight -- and when it has been, it's been incredibly slow to load, which is not a MySQL problem.
All the servers seem to be down for maintenance at the moment, so hopefully the problem will be resolved soon. But prompt action might be in order next time something goes wrong.

Add me to the list on mysql02 man, first errors with tables and repairing them would only last 10mins at most, then corrupt agian.
Now cant connect all together....sigh, 2nd time this has happened to me while with powweb.

I'm tempted to ask for a refund since I'm not getting what I paid for. Apparantly since they put in that server balance thing we're supposed to get 100% uptime. Now that's all well and good if your site doesn't rely on SQL, but mine is TOTALLY dependent on it. Surely there must be some solution to all these database outages?

Mysql 02 seems to be back right now, hopefully for good, w/o any errors. Took awhile though, but it is the weekend.

Surely there must be some solution to all these database outages? They've removed the 100% claim and changed it to 99.9% infrastructure up time - as the hardware hasn't failed, just the software installed on it - then they are probably meeting the 99.9% claim.
