I know we are having problems with MySQL and it's affecting php bulletin boards (corrupting the databases when users try to post, thus requiring 'repairs' that don't last long before more repairs are needed).
My question is this....has anyone tried closing their forum and DELETING all the posts made since this problem arose? (by my estimation on my own board it started yesterday afternoon). I'm just wondering if the posts made when the MySQL servers were being 'maintenanced' are causing forums to corrupt. Even when I repair my forums some information is still incorrect (ie. number of posts in a thread is wrong, for example, and posts made when the board was in a semi-corrupt state don't show up on the last post line) and I just wonder if it's those posts made in that time frame that are causing the repeated subsequent corruptions and if just deleting them all would restore the forum to a more stable place.
Anyone?
