The question should i delete the file or fix it? Some one told me if i do not properly solve this problem .chk file, i will lose or miss my data. . My friend told me last time he deleted a file like that, then he lost many datas.

*.chk files in the win9x OS's are usually "lost" file fragments that couldn't be recovered during scandisk or defrag. Usually they are 8 or 16kb in size. You can try opening them in a text editor to try and figure out what they contain, but usually they are pretty hard to decipher. If you haven't noticed anything either missing or going awry in some way don't worry about the *.chk file. I deleted those files all the time from my win9x systems and never had a problem.

Good luck,
Kevin
