Was wonderigng if anyone could tell me how to make a backup of my Bookmarks in FireFox. I just got a new job and want to relocate the Bookmark section to home. Thanks

I'm not a FireFox guru...but under bookmarks, there is a 'Manage Bookmarks' link.

Go in there, then in the 'file' menu, there is 'export' and 'import'.

I use it to output the XBEL file and import it across Windows, Fedora, OSX.

What I did is change the location of my bookmarks file to the My Documents folder, so when I do regular backups of data I get the bookmarks.

The default location for the file bookmarks.html is in your FireFox profile folder.

What I did is change the location of my bookmarks file to the My Documents folder, so when I do regular backups of data I get the bookmarks.

I save shortcuts to my desktop, then put them into subfolders inside My Documents. There are topics like PHP, computer help, ecommerce, forms, forums, visual basic and whatever where I found a bunch of sources on the same topic. I could use them in any browser. I never had to worry about transferring my shortcuts. :D
