View Full Version : Say Hi To The New Mod
Let's all welcome Alphadesk as the new Moderator. :)
Throughout the past few months he's been a huge contributor to the help available here in the forums. Let's use this thread to give him some good 'ol attaboys.
Yeah, hopefully Alphadesk has better luck here than I did :)

Thanks,,,Sim
Mike you left some pretty big shoes to fill. I'll do my best.
sophie,,I'll see you on the dance floor!
Alphadesk,
I always say "Never try to fit into another person's footprint. Make your own instead". I've posted over 2500 posts and have helps quite a few people in the past few months here, but you can do it too with the dedication to help others and the willingness to learn at the same time. No one knows everything, not even me :)
Most importantly, have fun and try not to get all wrapped up here in the Forums, like I allowed myself to become (as you can see from my post total).
I was wondering about the change by their names. I'm glad somebody made a post about it.
Congratulations to the new moderator!
BTW always wanted to know what you people gives the rang of "Moderator" - is there any financial cover from PowWeb for your work?

The only "benefits" are 1) the pure joy of being able to help others, 2) the moderator title by your name, and 3) sometimes being expected to know everything.
Just kidding about the third one, but as far as financial payment, moderators don't get paid to do the job they do. As an ex moderator here I can vouch for that :)

Congratulations Alphadesk :)
I think PowWeb needs to revise their politics to Moderators ... They are surely the most help on the forums and should be somehow awarded for the excellent work! ;)
(Maybe some additional monthes of free hosting? Not much but at least some attention fromt he company.)
Keep up good work, guys!

... unless they sell their website to PowWeb! Hehe... only kidding MannInc :D :p
That's only for departing mods :) j/k Some free offers are made available, but the pure joy of helping others was why I was happy to be a mod here!

It's good to see someone from Texas in the mix, Alpha. Just remember not to use the word YALL too much. <s>
It's great to have another splendid person as moderator. MannInc makes a great point:

I'm no longer hosted here at PowWeb, as I've switched hosts :) The "better luck than I did" was meant to say that I hope Alphadesk has better luck here with everything than I did. It seemed at times I didn't quite fit in the shoes of a moderator, so I no longer have those shoes on :)
Alpha is a good guy.I like em:cool:
I've already got a great share of help out em.....
Good pick...And like "Aza" forestated.I think a few
xtra months of services for moderators is appropriate
for the help they give...Hell,this forum is my manual...
