Every time I log into my {mail.com site} from a remote computer…all my email messages are resent to my Outlook pop account…How do I log in, veiw internet mail from a remote location and not activate another round of email(s) ?

When you use the browser-based interface to view your mail, all of the messages remain on the server unless you mark them for deletion and "expunge" them using the web client.

Even if you have read every single message using the web-based interface, the messages remain in your POP box and Outlook will still find them there the next time it checks.

It appears that just by "visiting" my web based mail..it sends another round to Outlook.

I suspect that has more to do with how you have Outlook set up than how often you visit the web interface.

When you open a message in the web interface, it *does* seem to mark the message as "read." Depending on how you have Outlook set up (leave messages on server, delete messages from server after X days, etc.), it may feel that--because the status of the messages have been modified on the server--it needs to download them again.

In case that's not the problem (and I've been wrong before), check how you have your forwarding set up in the SMTP section of your Powweb OPS. You could have your own virtual mail server sending messages around in a somewhat circular fashion.

That's was it, in a nutshell! Thanks...
