When I go to my website, I get the generic powweb page. When I log into ops, it says my website has been disabled, and that I have no packages. I have received no email from powweb explaining this. Have I reached my badwidth? Would I get a warning? Help!!!
the site is http://www.frodoandsam.net
Refer to your package history tab in Ops.
Your site was disabled for using over 2 GB w/in 24 hours.

Hi Elvellon,
You should have revieved a notice about the bandwith if that was the case. Check your history in OPS also. You say
When I log into ops, it says my website has been disabled, and that I have no packages.
This could be a billing problem. When should package renew?
or
Did you accidentlly deactivate your package in OPS by mistake.

Does this mean disabled permanently, or for a period of time? I thought I was supposed to get a warning. I can take the large files off the site immediately if someone will please reactivate it. I need to check my email!
Over 2GBs in 24 hours? Geeze, your site should have been disabled. At 2GBs a day, that's around 60 GBs a month.
Let's see, 16 GBs included and $8 per GB over that. That would mean around 44GBs over.
44GBs x $8 = $352 a month extra
If your site is that popular, you might wish to relocated to your own server :)
Elvellon,
You would need to relocated your website to another provider. Our billing department will issue you a pro-rated refund.

What happened is that I posted several real media files a couple days ago, only told a few folks about it. Needless to say, word spread rather quickly. I can remove these movies with no problem. Once they are removed, all that will remain is the usual text and graphics, which should not lead to much bandwidth usage at all. Please, please let me do that. I am not above begging and pleading. My site is new and growing and in an important time in its development. Permanent termination without any warning would not be good.
Thank you so much for any consideration you could give me. I promise to take the movies off immediately if I can have the site back.
EDIT
I just saw the last post, and I cannot believe you guys would do this. I have given three referrals (which led to purchases) since I moved here two months ago, and have said nothing but good things about you to every one who asks me for a recommendation for a good server. I can understand a temporary disabling, but not a termination with no warning. I did not exceed my monthly bandwidth, so I think a warning should be in order here. Please reconsider.
Elvellon,
Fair enough, Your account will be re-enable in 15 mins. Actually, our report shows that your website used up over 4 GB on just Sunday alone. We normally email customers about bandwidth usage. But, when it's abuse (over 1 to 2GB), we suspend the account immediately for the sake of the other users on the server. Thank you for your understanding.

Oh Andrew, you are a treasure! I will remove the movies immediately, and keep a regular check on my bandwidth. I really really appreciate it. :)
Another good reason to be able to view your bandwidth usage in the ops center. Is this still being considered? You guys already have one of the best "control panels" in the business, this would just be icing on the cake :)
