Hello,
I am a newbie. I uploaded my index.html file to the htdocs file. I do not see anything but the Under construction page at either the temporary or permanent urls. I use WS FTP LE, and my site is

http://www.chancellorfamily.org and
http://chancellorfamilyorg.powweb.com/

Anyone have any ideas?

this means that your site is not yet up and running - maybe waiting for funds to clear or dns to route :-)

I know my funds have cleared and my management pages say my account is active so I am still unsure where to go from here.

When you uploaded new index.html, did you tell it to overwrite the existing index.html.

FTP in and rename index.html to index_old.html and then upload your new index.html file.

did you delete the previous index.html file originally in the htdocs folders? then place your new index file in the htdocs folder?

...how long ago did you register your domain name?

WOOHOO...a lot of questions!! OK...try these:

1. Make sure index.html is all lower case
2. Upload to your htdocs folder (open the htdocs folder and upload).
3. Theres a few others...but give that a shot.

I see your construction page...so you should be able to upload.

Good Luck

Never send your information to anyone here except for a moderator. This will keep your account on much safer ground :)

No offense sparkie, but that's very unsafe for anyone having a hosting account here or anywhere on the web.

Well, I have tried all of the above and even deleted my first index and tried it all over again, to no avail. I get a reply saying that the transfer was successful. I am really frustrated and have no idea what else to do.

When you first go into your FTP program...do you see 4 (or so) folders?? If you do...make sure you open your htdocs folder, to get into it, and upload into that folder. Do not put your index.html with the 4 folders you see first.

Good Luck

Yes, I made sure that I uploaded to the htdocs folder only; still nothing.
