Ok, I just got done re-designing my site. Hopefully the new one is an improvement. Please try to give both a look.

Be brutely honest.

Got lost looking around your site, and almost forgot to come back and comment ;)

Not many sites that I will take time to visit just about every page of, so I guess that means that I rather like what you've done with it.

About the only negative comment that I have, would be to change your Flash header a bit. In my opinion (and we all know about those)... I would suggest replaceing the rectangle moving color blocks with text. Things like "Web Design" "SQL" "PHP" etc etc.....

Overall, I'd have to say it's a big improvement over what you had before and is very easy to navigate.

Thats not a bad idea. I'll give it a try and post a test page.

Thanks for the good comments.

UPDATE

I tried the words...it doesn't look too bad, but I think I like the boxes better. Plus the words add about 10-15k onto the size (boxes-33k / words-46k) . Posted below is a little sample, I could also make the words go across at different speeds, but that would add little more size.

I'm getting a 403 Forbidden error for your entire site :(

Yeh...I know...I don't know what the heck is going on????

I'm scared. I can log onto FTP but there is only 1 file that is unreadable, no directories or anything.

I'll post again when Powweb has it up.

HOLY CRAP...its finally back up.

I called since I didn't want to wait 24 hrs for an email. They had no clue why the disabled my account. I know what I'm doing and now I didn't do anything. And if I did...they couldn't just make it appear again in perfect condition.

Anyway, they couldn't give me a reason why the shut me down. They just said 'Oops, sorry' . This sucks because I just re-newed my account last month.

Maybe one of the Admins can look into it quickly.

Anyway, just it out cause its back up.

ITS BACK DOWN AGAIN!!

After calling and opening my site back up (after they couldn't give me any reason), its back down. I finally get a letter in the ops saying it was a script abuse?????

HELLLOOOOOO. I would of removed it or fixed it immediately upon notice. Now I'm screwed since I can't even access FTP to fix it...when I don't even know whats wrong. I haven't touched that script in 6 months.

UUURRRRGGG!!!

I could not access either of your sites. I get a message that I am not authorized to view the site. Sounds as though you may need to change the permissions on htdocs.

I was able to view both of your sites. In general, I prefer the newer one. Everything is clearly laid out ... very nice! :)

One suggestion, though. .. the animation on your header is too much. What I mean is that studies have shown that when there is animation on a page, it is more difficult to read. Jared Spool of User Interface Engineering once conducted a study of exactly this. He showed a number to test subjects the Disney page and asked them a number of questions about information that was on the page. At the time, the page had an animation of a dancing figure that danced "forever". He found that his test subjects literally had to cover the animation with their hands in order to find the answers to his questions right there on the page.

A good solution would be to have your animation go through once and then stop. That way, you have the pizzazz of the animation without distracting the viewer.

Newer one has better colors, and a better CSS too. I like the floating tables, (always have), and with floating tables on both sides make the content seem real snug and secure. (I'm weird, eh?)

I think it looks great, but in my opinion the flash header has a bit too much motion... it would probably help if the rectangles were going a bit slower.

The newer one is better..it looks more professional...

But the old one had those things on top saying "logos" and junk..i think that maded more clear...but overall...the new one was the best..
