HelpWithHosting.com (http://www.helpwithhosting.com)

Hey guys, I've just launched my new site Helpwithhosting.com and I could really use some input. The site design is all new along with the sidebar menus. I know in some places the content needs a little more work, but that's being done as you read :)

Specifically, I would like to know how the homepage hits you and also what everyone thinks of the integrated search engine.

Thanks in advance everybody,
Keith

Wow! I must say your website looks excellent... it's very professional, easy to navigate, and the articles are very well done.

I have a few comments, however:

I see that all of your "important" links are on the left side, and "unimportant" ones are on the right. There's one exception, however... the "Hosting terms glossary" link. Not that it's in a bad spot, but you may want to consider moving it elsewhere.

On your menu on the left side, you may want to use a different color for visited links--while browsing I had forgotten which pages I had already been to and which I had not yet seen.

For all of the pages in the Beginner's Guide, the <title> begins with "Beginner's Guide to Hosting". This is good, but for the rest of the Hosting Articles I would also change the title to something like "Help With Hosting: Free Web Site Hosting Services" so that the visitor can find your site more easily in their bookmarks/favorites.

A minor bug: On the Dedicated and Co-Location Hosting page (http://www.helpwithhosting.com/dedicated_vs_colocation.htm) the first link on the right side links to your glossary, not CNET as it says.

Overall, you've done an excellent job on your site--I'm sorry if I got too picky ;)

I liked your site, it got me reading up on some stuff I was unsure about regarding webhosting.

GREAT SITE! Only Suggestion is a little less clusters of links on the nav bar. I tended to skip over them for the bigger main page text. :)

WoW!!! Your site is really excellent. The content is both very interesting and easy to read. I started off just looking at the site and ended up spending about 45 minutes reading your content. If the mark of a good site is the ability to keep a viewer, you obviously have hit that mark!:)

Nice site! However, the following statement from the article on Unix vs. Windows is just plain wrong: "In addition, many of the Unix operating systems used commercially, including some of the most popular, are open source operating systems. This means that the source code for the OS is freely available to anyone who wants to add to or improve it." This statement is true of Linux and FreeBSD, but not any of the most popular UNIX systems used commercially (SunOS, AIX, Solaris, Tru64 UNIX, etc.) You may want to clarify this.

Thanks everyone for the reviews, all have been very helpfull. And by all means, please keep them coming.

Stevel, I think you may have a point about that statement. Although I believe it is factually true, Linux and FreeBSD are both very popular versions of Unix and freely available, it is probably a little misleading. I'll try rewording that in my next revision of that article.

Thanks again to all who have taken the time to review the site and provided valuable feedback.
