Why is the upload speed superSLOW!! [Archive]

I have just moved to powweb and if this is your upload speed I will ask for my money back.

I am currently uploading at your FTP at 0.5k instead of 16k!!!

I have a file size of 312MB that I need to upload.

why do you have so slow upload speed?

and the problem is not on my side I can asure you so please don't say that.

Try switching back and forth from active to passive. We don't have any speed limitations on for downloading or uploading... and most of our bandwidth is outbound, not inbound, so you shouldn't have any trouble uploading to our servers.

Have you done a tracert for your domain? Data has to go through other routers to get to PowWeb, and one of those may be causing the problem.

I'm in the US and am uploading to Powweb FTP servers at nearly 1 Mb/sec on my home cable connection. Perhaps there is some temporary traffic bottleneck between you and California at this moment.

Just uploaded 3.5mb file @ 400kb ... no problem.

Try another FTP prog
