slow scrolling

When i scroll down using keyboard or mouse, the screen drags slowly. It's becoming really annoying. It does this for whatever program I'm using. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Sounds like your video memory is really low, or memory in general. Have you messed with those settings lately? Do you know what kind of video card you have or is it integrated on the motherboard? If it's integrated then there is a bios setting for how much of your system memory is dedicated to video. Although, even 8Mb should be sufficient for a smooth scroll. Have you by chance turned up your resolution or color depth recently? What kind of machine is it? Processor, RAM, etc?

It could also be to do with the scroll speed setting for your mouse/keyboard. Try ramping the number of lines scrolled at a time up and see what happens.

You may consider a video driver update or even a BIOS update if none of the other suggestions work.
