See

(note: I know almost nothing about CSS, I just searched the web with google.com ...)

First off, let me just say that CSS ROCKS.
Good choice on learning more about it, as it will allow you to do a lot more with your site work.
Some good places to refer to:
The WDG (http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/css/)
HTML Writers' Guild (http://www.hwg.org/resources/faqs/cssFAQ.html)
Webmonkey (http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/reference/stylesheet_guide/)
Mako's CSS site (http://www.mako4css.com/)
[The guy who runs that last link is a regular on the Dreamweaver newsgroup, btw, and definitely knows his stuff! Good site!]
Hope this helps!

You can always go to the library and rent a CSS book. The O'reily ones I do believe are refrence books, so it teachs all by examples. This way you can just learn what you want when you want. CSS is pretty basic, so there's no point in reading a book that's narrative.
there is to know about CSS this reference table is a good crutch/helper/aid

Wow reading all this stuff. Its pretty complicated, me thinks I will throw up a quick site with tables before I touch CSS.
try this software.
TopStyle 2.5 (http://www.bradsoft.com)
It has a free trial download (which never expires, go figure) and will make learning how to put a stylesheet together a piece of cake. It's a CSS editor. The cool thing is, it uses selection menus, so you don't have to try to remember what all the attributes available to you are. It will format everything for you too. If you use it in conjunction with the tutorials that were recommended, you'll be hammering out stylesheets in a day. Try it out before you give up on CSS.

Hi Raven,
Just downloaded the TopStyle 2.5, works like a charm and has a very good help section . You might want to post the link in the Utilities forum. I'm sure other people would like it also.
It's just Ravenesse!
That's a good idea. But then again, you frequently have good ideas. :)
I'm glad you liked it!
That CSS prog is way cool. Thanks for the link. :O)

There's a good 30+ page tutorial with downloadable exercise files called the Definitive Introduction to CSS (for Dreamworks MX) that was just put online on June 14/2002.
Being new to CSS, this really gave a good understanding of the basics (and power) of CSS.
