Oddly-colored links (Firefox)

On some sites, links are given a background color as seen in:
http://halosource.info/upload/why.jpg

There's no option for "link BG color" under Options. I checked ChromEdit, but I don't even have that doing anything right now, so that's probably not causing it. Cleared my cache many times. Happens on some sites, not others, and for some sites, only for certain links. It only just started happening. I tried disabling my most recently installed extension (I have a plethora); didn't change anything.

This is just strange, any help would be appreciated.

If you suspect that an extension is the problem, try starting firefox in safe mode to see if the problem goes away. If it does than it is an extension or theme problem.

You can make a new profile in firefox (directions here (http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile#new) ) then start adding back your extensions until you find the one that is the culprit. I know its time consuming and not something anyone would really want to do but it should help you identify the problem.
