Hello! I'm new on powweb and not very experienced in MySQL. I don't know where my MySQL base is, what it is called, or what the password is. And I did not see mention of if in the Member Operations panel. Can anyone explain me where to find my database, and how to use it?

Thanks for your reply, Cold Head, but I can't see any mysql section on that page!

I was certain a mysql base was included in the pack. Will have to check this.

Once you log in to ops
you should see several tabs across to top part of the page.
Mine read left to right...
'Main', Personal Info', 'Account Info', 'Packages', 'Domains, 'History'
Main is 'red' others are 'baby poo yellow'

You want the 'Packages' tab.
Click it & you should see all your packages.
Scroll down to see..DNS,FTP,HTTP,MySQL etc.
Just have a bit of a look around first.
click on the mySQL link, under Services Overview, to create a database add users etc.

I can see: DNS, FTP, HTTP, POP3 and SMTP. No MySQL.

I see you are a new user. Maybe your proper domain name needs to go through first. You get 5 databases free as part of the deal.

Ideas anyone?

I see you are a new user.

My account is active since the day 16 of this month. Perhaps I must ask for the MySQL bases to be set up... I'll ask.

I don't know why they're trying to confuse you -

To add a new database, it's not that intuitive, but it's quick

Go to Member Ops | Packages | Billing/Plan

At the bottom you'll see a link for MySQL Setup (Fee - FREE)

Click that to add a new database and up to three users

After that is when you'll see the MySQL tab under Packages |Website and you will see a clickable MySQL list of all your databases in a column under Packages.

Hope that helps

Glad you're up and running. But that's just the start!

Now the fun begins ... :D
