oScommerce help please

Hey guys, I was about to install the oscommerce from powweb onto my site. What exactly does this do? Can I accept credit cards with it?
Also, when installing it asked some questions I wasnt sure about. If anyone could help that that would be great. My site is www.305kicks.com , if that helps you understand anything of what im trying to do...

osCommerce has the ability to take credit cards, yeah, but you have to install the modules and have your gateway account ready to go.

you can accept credit cards, yes, but it needs to be processed by a third party merchant. These are paypal, 2checkout, etc. there's many premade modules to chose from inside the admin panel, but you still need to sign up with their services.

Ok, I know I installed osCommerce, now I don't know where to open it...
Someone help, I had installed it, its in my htdocs, but thats all I know, can someone lead me through it, thanks.

I suggest you read up on osCommerce before you proceed further. There's an installation and configuration thread towards the top of this forum, and more at www.oscommerce.com . If you just jump in blind, you'll get frustrated very quickly.
