Newb Question

I just signed up with powweb this weekend. I plan on building a website once I learn some more about it (Know absolutely nothing now). In the mean time I would like to use the space to store small Quicktime and WAV files. I would like to be able to link to these files within other forums. I searched through these pages without much luck, but I really don't know what I am looking for. Could someone explain to me or point me in the right direction on how I go about doing this. Thanks.

Simply upload the files you want to link into your htdocs folder (using an ftp program or WebFTP) and then link to them at yourdomain.com/file.wav etc. or put the in a folder (eg. qt) in htdocs and link to them with yourdomain.com/qt/file.mov

Make sure your not distributing copyright works without permission though :)
