Starting last Friday, 7/15/05, I keep getting "No Input File Specified" or "The page cannot be found" when I access my forum.

My members from all over the world are reporting the same.... It happens to about 20-25% of the the page views... A simple refresh may or may not display the page, but sooner or later it will display...

I don't see anyone else complaining about this, so I don't know what to make of it....

Website configuration and forum software has not changed in more then 9 months.....

Anyone else getting this?

I can see it on your site. If I refresh a page several times, I'll eventually get a "No input file specified" - another refresh will bring it up. It would appear that your BB software is serving this as the HTML content - it doesn't look as if it were something the PowWeb server was doing.

A bit of Googling suggests that this is what PHP does if it's been asked to process a file that doesn't exist. You might want to see if http://jenseng.com/archives/000035.html (and the links in that page) help.

I saw similar errors. (In forms of stat call failure and/or existing files reported to be non-existent.).
Possibly, NFS setting of some sort is causing stat syscall to return old value in some cases,
and cause errors occasionally. Maybe directory cache is returning wrong value, too.

As nobody is reporting "stale nfs file handle" error recently, Admin people might be working on
(or tuning) nfs setting and caused undesired side effects.

Only Admin folks may know the exact reason (and hopely how to solve it).

The "html" display is a forum software option, as opposed to the displaying real cgi script generated page. It is so that search engines will store those "html" pages. I guess cgi files are not cached by the search engines...

That option has been enabled for at least 9 months now. The problem started last Friday when the http clusters got really, really slow.... Are the Admin's changing something?

That is not the case.

What did Powweb do last Friday when everyone was complaining the Clusters were slow...?

EdiT: I see powweb did a PHP upgrade Thurs or Fri or something.... I guess not everyone benefits....

Yeah mine is doing the samething now. Mine has the fallowing. Warning on MySql and also says it can not conect to the databse. I am REAL new on PHP and such but I had the forum up for month and half I believe and it has been changed twice but kept on my site. It hasn't been moved or changed any in a few weeks and now today it has. Someone says I was hacked which this person has been threating to crash my comp and take my web-site BUT a person I know who well known with script and such thinks it wasn't hacked but just can't conect to database that simple. Well I don't know how to change the lines it says that is messed up and idk why it would be since none of the file has been changed. Anyways if someone can reply back with help I would be grateful.

Nevermind I am friggin dumb. On the dang MySql thing I deleted the username for itself and didn't think nothing of it. I am not used of doing MySql(never used it till now in past 3 years), and not used of CGI or PHP lol. I shoulda learned it all long time ago but oh well. Anyways my forums went back to normal THANK GOD lol
