Hi All,

After reading new policy on http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?threadid=53719 i am confused that what about the earlier pointed domains for which i have already paid $20. That should be transfered to serviced domains not pointer domains but ops is showing those domains in pointed domains.

How powweb can transfer the status of paid pointed domains to free pointed domains which he is started giving just now?

Now i am not seeing the order Free Pointed domains, just i have a link for $20 serviced domains because i already paid for 3 ponted domains earlier. Those paid domains should be in serviced domains, what you guys think.

Is there any method to convert my pointed domains to serviced domains?

Waiting for reply.

Waiting for reply. There is no automatic conversion to the serviced domains. If you were unfortunate to buy pointed domains close to the change then you MAY be able to get them changed. Either way, send an e-mail to billing@powweb.com to ask if they can be changed and tell them an approximate date of the purchase of pointed domains. Make it clear that you don't wish to pay again!

All Powweb did was drop the old pointing fee and offer SMTP on pointed domains for $20.

They (your old domains) were never serviced domains. And should not be serviced domains now. When you pointed the old domains for $20 they were simply that, a pointed domain, without SMTP. You still have them as a pointed domain, without SMTP. The only difference being now you get upto 3 for free.

If you want the new option of serviced domains, having SMTP services, it costs $20.

My primary domain is BELLACHIARA.COM. I purchased the package on July 13, 2005.

Now, I registered another domain with GoDaddy.com called PCTECHONLINE.BIZ on July 15 and want to make it as a FULL SERVICE primary domain with powweb and have BELLACHIARA.COM as a pointer. I will need SMTP ability with PCTECHONLINE.BIZ and not with BELLACHIARA.COM, is this possible?

Primary Domain: to be PCTECHONLINE.BIZ with SMTP ability
Pointer Domain: to be BELLACHIARA.COM

I am sure it is possible as I think other people have done it before.

However I am also pretty sure that you will have to pay a fee for changing your primary domain.

In the end you may be cheaper just paying the $20 to make the .biz domain a pointer with SMTP. Then at least you have full services on both domains for about the same cost as what you're suggesting above.

I believe it is a $15 fee for changing the primary domain on a package. Then you could have the other domain as a free 'pointed' domain with no SMTP send facilities. Contact billing@powweb.com to make the change, give them the last 4 digits of the cc on file and specifically tell them you authorise the payment of $15.
