subdomain

I wonder if simply delete the sub folder in the root directory is the way to delete the subdomain ?
Since there is no key to do so, I guess this is the way. Any comments ?

If you used the simple method for creating a subdomain, where you create a folder at root (same level as main htdocs) and place a new htdocs inside, then deleting that folder and contents will remove the subdomain.

If you used the .htaccess method, then you would need to remove the folder and also edit your .htaccess removing the subdomain section from it.
