I am about to upgrade my operating system from WinME to Windows XP-Home Edition. I want to make sure about the compatibilty of my phpMyAdmin program, and my XMB 1.6 Magic Lantern Final forums with this new OS.
Anyone having, or had, any problems in this regard?
Your replies will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!
I know a guy who uses phpMyAdmin on XP Pro with no problems at all...
I can't see any reason that you would have problems...
I have XP Pro...but not XP Home
They are somehow different!

Win XP Home has a feature called "Compatability Mode" you can make XP emulate From Windows NT to Windows ME. I have included a screenshot so you can see the dialog box that you go into to find this setting.

XP Pro also has the compatibility mode feature. Haven't tested it yet but it's there if I ever decided to fire up "Temple of Apshai".

Thanks everyone for your replies. They are all very much appreciated.
XP home if you are running a home network only allows 5 machines on a home network.
you have to upgrade to XP Pro to add more than that.
